1. Standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a working target.
2. What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order on every page.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alt attributes on purely decorative ones.
- Form fields with associated labels, and error messages presented in text rather than colour alone.
- Keyboard navigability, including a visible focus indicator.
- Text that reflows and remains readable on small screens and at increased zoom.
- Explicit image dimensions so content does not shift while the page loads.
- Descriptive link text rather than repeated "click here".
- Content written in plain English wherever the subject allows.
3. Known limitations
We are honest about the gaps rather than claiming full conformance:
- Some decorative animation and sliding content is inherited from the site's visual framework and may not fully respect reduced-motion preferences.
- Embedded third-party content such as maps is outside our direct control.
- Colour contrast in a small number of decorative interface elements may fall below the AA threshold.
These are on our list to improve.
