Young cricketers in a line during a batting drill at a holiday cricket skills camp in Bangalore

The fastest way for a young player to improve

A holiday camp delivers more quality repetitions in ten days than a normal two months of weekend coaching. That volume, under supervision, is why players who attend a camp often return to their regular batch visibly better.

Daily structure

Warm-up and movement quality, a technical skills block rotating across batting, bowling, wicket-keeping and fielding, a fitness and agility block, and match play or match-scenario cricket to close. Four hours daily, morning slot, across ten days.

Grouping

Players are assessed on day one and grouped by ability, not just age. Complete beginners and competitive age-group players both attend — they simply do not train in the same group.

What is covered

  • Batting — grip, stance, backlift, front and back foot play, shot selection, running between wickets
  • Bowling — action, seam position, line and length discipline, variations, bowling to a plan
  • Wicket-keeping — stance, footwork, standing up and back, glove work
  • Fielding — catching, ground fielding, throwing, close-catching positions
  • Fitness — agility, speed, coordination and injury-prevention movement work
  • Match play — daily matches so skills are tested immediately

Included

Camp jersey and cap, training equipment, daily refreshments, first aid cover, and an individual written assessment for every player at the close of the camp.
